Our most popular guests phone-wise this evening were the beautiful and talented LIVE PRUDE GIRLS, comedy team of Milana Vayntrub and Stevie Nelson, receiving calls from all over the country asking questions about their work, which is a YouTube sensation. We were joined by none other than Executive Editor of LA Record, DAIANA FEUER who also has founded the LA Folk Festival, along with having a band and a love of Karaoke Fever. Walter Gross played one of his amazing audio collages and helped us attempt to describe his work, and Mascaria played the baby Korg, shared a track, and talked about his projects. DJ Gingee treated us to a 20 minute set, which was amazing. We several phone reports from SXSW, including from JP CABALLERO of WHITE ARROWS, also SO MANY WIZARDS, and from JEFF GREENBERG, owner of THE VILLAGE studio in Santa Monica, one of the actual sponsors of SXSW! The lovely and talented NEDELLE joined us to talk about her new band PARADISE and play a track for us. EVAN CLARK of DIRT RAID also played a set towards the end of the show.

EPISODE 6: The Jayk Gallagher Program: BOOM BIP + HEALTH + SUBTITLE + RHETERIC + ESTHER KU + WHITE ARROWS + JESSICA HANNA

ESTHER KU, from Last Comic Standing and Howard Stern, and her sister PO stopped in first, playing a song about an 18 inch schlong on the ukelele. Their loud insane laughter was the background for our interview with JESSICA HANNA, co-founder of The Bootleg Theater, who revealed discount code “JAYK” will save you on tickets for John C Reilly directed new solo show “The Buddha” now showing. After a set from BRAND B we were joined by all the rest of our guests in a huge rush. SUBTITLE was the instigator in a nerdy discussion that included Black Jack Parsons, World of Warcraft and more. JP from WHITE ARROWS and DIOS also weighed in on the conspiracy theories, scoring a t-shirt from SUBTITLE for knowing so much. RHETERIC told us of his new Hellfyre Club LP available in spring of 2012, and Jake of HEALTH announced his scoring of the new Max Payne 3 video game and an upcoming desert show. BOOM BIP, one half of NEON NEON, discussed his current projects. If you want to find out who she was, join our mailing list at jaykgallagher.com/program and we’ll tell you. BOOM BIP played a track, and JAYK GALLAGHER, RHETERIC, SUBTITLE and VERBS all freestyled over it– we were honored.

Episode 5 - The Jayk Gallagher Program - DRAKE BELL + TOUCHÉ + PISTOL MC FLY + ANNA EASTEDEN + DRUID BEAT

Pistol McFly performed his track “Space Invaders” live in the studio,
and Pistol, VerBS and Jayk Gallagher had a freestyle session over Alwayz
Prolific’s beats. “LIKE” Facebook.com/TheJaykGallagherProgram for

to elevate consciousness and his Friday night residency this month at

lolita” Bunny Holiday whose presence on the show provided quite a racier
vibe than on prior episodes. They were joined by Josh Sussman of Glee
and Warren The Ape who regaled us with tales of his harrowing trip from
parking his car to the studio. We also learned of how Josh was cast to do two lines on Glee and
how this turned into him recurring for multiple seasons on the show.
We heard new music from Bunny, who undulated for our cameras and
described her career as an American Apparel vixen and musical sensation. Later we were joined by the extremely talented Deap Vally who gave us
an exclusive look at their new song “The End Of The World.” They were
joined by Nocando, who discussed the recent release of his EP “Zero
Hour” and his upcoming projects including multiple shows. Verbs, Jayk
and Nocando freestyled over Alwayz Prolific’s amazing beats, plus we
got Josh Sussman to attempt freestyling over Jayk beatboxing. Bunny
rapped one of her songs over a beatbox, and Jayk attempted to cover Deap

most fun we’ve had all century.

building steam among the old guard of L.A. With an odd-bounce on New
York state of mind boom bap, Rheteric Ramirez bridges styles.

She was also selected by Howard Stern as a finalist in the Hottest Funniest Chick Contest on Sirius Satellite Radio. She's got several raunchy song parodies on YouTube and will perform some live with her ukelele!
JP of WHITE ARROWS and DIOS MALOS

An extremely entertaining and philosophical character, JP plays bass. Mickey Schiff, born legally blind but regaining his sight at 11, started White Arrows with brother Henry Schiff and childhood friend J.P. Caballero. However, unbeknownst to the brothers then, J.P. was literally family, courtesy of a sperm donation by his dad to help some friends conceive. The band describes their sounds as “a joyous burst of kaleidoscopic beats, genre-hopping and psychedelic textures,” all with a little bit of L.A.’s Eastside sound thrown in to make it feel like home.

musical aspirations – working w such luminaries as Beck, Charlotte
Gainsbourg, The Bird and the Bee, Jackson Brown, M83 and Mike Patton.

music once and for all. Bram and Alex are multi-instrumentalists with a
penchant for classic pop songwriting, lush synthscapes and dance floor
anthems.
DRUID BEAT (Joshua Patterson)

DRUID BEAT
There is a lot more to say about Josh then what I'm about to say, but I've been sworn to secrecy. The Druid Beat considers their work a continuation of the traditions of the Mystery Schools of antiquity. They seek to use the power of allegory and symbolism to evolve earthly consciousness. "We hope to spur this planet's meta-physical growth. We are sons and daughters of the stars." They believe in exploring the science of matter as well as the science of spirit, and the synthesis of the two as an inevitable progression.
